Monarch of the Glen have completed filming the last series!
The last series of Monarch of the Glen is now showing on BBC1 on Sunday evenings at 8PM.
The hit BBC series is filmed in the Laggan area. On the West side of Strathmashie House lies Loch Laggan, across which lies the famous "Big House" in ficticious Glen Bogle. To the East is Laggan village where the village stores are regularly converted to form the Glen Bogle stores, and the craft shop opposite is swiftly transformed into Wallace's garage and funeral parlour!
Spartan's "Keeper's Cottage" and "Butler's Flat" on the Strathmashie estate are regularly called upon to accommodate cast and crew while some of Spartan's "crew" are given days off to take part as extras. The local primary school children (young Goddards amongst them) have also appeared on the show on an annual basis.
