Further a-field

Our nearest petrol filling stations are at Dalwhinnie (9 miles), and Newtonmore (11 miles) - located near the amazing 'Chef's Grill' transport cafe on the south side of the village. Newtonmore and Kingussie (14 miles) also boast supermarkets, grocers, butchers, bakers, newsagents, chemists, bank (Bank of Scotland) and cash point machines.

The nearest Co-op is in Newtonmore, the nearest Tesco is in Aviemore, and there is a large Morrisons in Fort William. Otherwise, Inverness and Perth have it ALL! There are no local fishmongers but vans selling fresh fish from the East Coast have occasionally been sighted in Newtonmore and Kingussie on Tuesday and Friday mornings!

There are hotels, resturants and pubs in Newtonrmore, Kingussie and Aviemore. There is also a coffee shop and pottery just outside of Laggan on the Dalwhinnie road.

Sports Equipment Hire

Mountain biking is available at Wolftrax. There are several outlets in Kingussie and Aviemore offering sports tuition and hire including mountain bikes, skis, golf clubs, etc. Please ask if you would like further details before your holiday.
