Useful Local Information - December 2013
After several months of uncertainty in 2004, Laggan once more has a village shop. The Laggan Stores re-opened in May 2004 and are under the management of locals Iain Hall and Jo Cumming, who sell a suprisingly large variety of stuff.

Our nearest petrol filling stations are at Dalwhinnie (9 miles), and Newtonmore (11 miles) - located near the amazing 'Chef's Grill' transport cafe on the south side of the village. Newtonmore and Kingussie (14 miles) also boast supermarkets, grocers, butchers, bakers, newsagents, chemists, bank (Bank of Scotland) and cash point machines.
The nearest Tescos is in Aviemore, and there is a large Morrisons in Fort William. Otherwise, Inverness and Perth have it ALL! There are no local fishmongers but vans selling fresh fish from the East Coast have occasionally been sighted in Newtonmore and Kingussie on Tuesday and Friday mornings!
There are two hotels at Laggan Bridge, the nearest being the Monadhliath Hotel (on the Dalwhinnie road) which offers bar meals and a restaurant. There is also a coffee shop at the pottery just past the pub.
